Our holiday began early on a Saturday morning, packing luggage and the dog our neighbour, Peter, drove us to the airport. An uneventful flight to Sydney in business class (nice treat) and after landing in Sydney we looked out the window to see Jesse coming down the luggage ramp. The baggage handler lifted her onto the passenger seat of the luggage car. At least she made it this far.
After a short wait we were boarding the flight to Perth. Thankfully another uneventful flight. We watched a movie called 'Definitely, Maybe', a film that wasn't all that inspiring. 4 hours and 20 minutes later we landed in Perth. First impressions were of a flat, sandy and bright area. We collected all of our luggage and looked like the Hillbillie family with the $2 bags full of camping gear.
Next we were in the rental car and off to collect Jesse and was she glad to see us. She survived the trip and the good thing is she doesn't have to do it again. Off to find the caravan park where we were staying the night. We found a supermarket, got some supplies and then we headed out for a drive to watch the sunset on Scarborough Beach. It was getting cold and we warmed up by having dinner at Jimmy Dean's restaurant and then headed home.
